As I do on  mondays, I settled into my desk with an iced americano (one splenda) and I delve into the world of email and blog madness. As I walked into the tiny shoe mecca–nestled on the corner of N. 6 and Bedford in the heart of hipsterdome brooklyn–I couldn’t help but notice the sense of urgency in the eyes and hurried words of the SHOEMARKET shoppers. One girl…crucnched down on the floor lacing up a spring oxford confessed…”If I wear these boots another day, I will die.” Without looking up and her face completely covered by a combination of messy bangs and oversized granny-librarian glasses her pale and stunningly beautiful friend replied, “Let’s burn them.” Ladies and gentleman, in Brooklyn and everywhere..WE ARE OVER WINTER!
