Of course we are still googoo for Ga Ga here at the JCHQ–but what is currently driving us crazy is the new Janelle Monae video which launched today. The unisex mens shoe worn in the video—is amazing…and I mean TUXEDO details paired with a space pompador? Amazing styling. As if being inked by Diddy, opening for No Doubt all summer of 2009, festival gigs with Of Montreal, and nabbing a grammy nomination weren’t enough…this amazing new artist is busy scooping up praise from music and fashion lovers a like. METROPOLIS, her next album is set to drop in MAY 2010. Some bonus tracks and cameo from her alter ego Cindi Mayweather can be expected. Until then—Jam on this. This girl needs some Jeffrey Campbell—ahhhh SHOOT!
MARY MEYER–we got a crush on you. (que the jets on my boombox)
Mary Meyer. I mean. Do I have to say much more? We love the deconstructed simplicity of this Brooklyn NY artist’s wearables. Meyer, a CA native who now calls Greenpoint Brooklyn home has carved out a name for herself in the world of streetwear. Mary is much more than a t-shirt afficinado she is also a print maker, weaver, party thrower and in short a re-definer. Mary redefines basics like the common T-shirt–giving it new shape, making it unisex, printing it–flipping it up and reversing it. Our obsession with MMC (Mary Meyer Clothing) is shared by many—and you can imagine how thrilled we were when we saw she had used some of our shoes for the styling on her new e-commerce site. http://www.marymeyerclothing.com

Shown above is Myer’s sexxed up one piece jumper. Comprised of stonewashed thermal–this Meyer orignal will keep you looking hot–and feeling warm. Styled with the Jeffrey Campbell TRYST in black leather (get the TRYST HERE), the overall look is bananas.
MARY MEYER. WE LOVE YOU. Please shop her new site and read about all of her adventures, events and happenings. And people, summer is coming so get crop top ready…because MMC has you covered, or dare i say, uncovered. WORK.

TWO NEW SITES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
At Jeffrey Campbell, it is no secret that we have the cutest boutique clients in the industry. You will be shopping, say in Boise Idaho, Missoula MT, or Burlington VT and all of the sudden a sea of Jeffrey Campbell will flood out the doors of all the cutest boutiques you find. WE ARE LUCKY! Two of our favorite Brooklyn boutiques have recently launched new internet sites—and as crushes go—it’s pretty serious.
#1. MINIMINIMARKET.
SITE: www.miniminimarket.com
VIBE: Williamsburg back when we cared.

Literally one of our VERY first accounts TEN years ago–the girls from MINIMINI have relaunched their site for their tenth anniversary. The new site truly captures the genius that is MINIMINIMARKET. Nestled on Bedford Ave near N. 5 street, the lust-worthy boutique has become a mainstay for neighborhood regulars, international fashionistas, and those savvy Manhattan shoppers who cross the bridge, for bargains, brunch, boys and booze. Mini Mini Market–just is. Their new site is no excpetion. As you log on you are thrust into the fast pace world of their girl. Serving up looks for everyday of the week or moment–alongside blaring tunes from YOUR NATURE CLICK HERE (swoon)…. the site is perfect. With new items being added for shopping as we speak–you can read their blog for a continual stream of new items. M.M.M., in 2010 is still doing what they do best—serving it up to you in a fun, fashionable way that will leave you money left over to walk down the street to Rosemary’s Greenpoint Tavern afterwards for a 44oz styrofoam tumber of beer. Of course, those of you in the know—are already informed that they also own shoemarket–just a hop skip and a jump away–the largest source of JC in all of Brooklyn.
#2. Dear Fieldbinder
SITE: www.dearfieldbinder.com
VIBE: Top shelf shopping with something for everyone.

Dear Fieldbinder is like a piece of red velvet cake–served up with a glass of milk–you simply just want to eat it. The store is carefully currated and houses all of your favorite labels. Located on SMITH street the tidy shop sets itself apart from the other shops with it’s gallery like appeal and endless selection of “how do I not already own this” finds. Dear FB has been with us for over a year now–always picking our favorite styles and merching them perfectly with their clothing and lifestyle selections.
You can expect the same shopping experience from their site. Clean. Easy. Tidy and stark. Dear Fieldbinder is getting ready for Spring–and making sure you look good all along the way…right click on that girl!
Get to brooklyn—The water is fine.
