So we were just listening to Nevermind by Nirvana, one of our favorite albums of all time, thinking about how glorious fashion in the ’90s was, when poof! ENVI SHOES posted a link to their new Tardy colorways on our Facebook page! We are O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D with the TARDY IN VELVET we are having trouble finding the words to express how much we mean it! We’re evening praying for more rain so we can wrap ourselves in our favorite flannel, lace up a pair of the Tardy velvets and pine after Jordan Catalano. But just because these beautiful boots remind us of the ’90s, doesn’t mean they can’t function with the burgeoning trends of 2011. To off-set the richness of the velvet, and to give them a summer vibe, pair these with a lightly distressed chambray button-down and lots of accessories to balance the look out. Cut-offs will give this a bit of a throw-back edge without looking one bit dated. Although, we’re most looking forward to seeing these paired with a maxi-dress, for a more dramatic look.
