Here at the NYC showroom, we love highlighting our fashionable interns, but today we wanted to shed some light on the true style-queen around here. Much of our style inspiration comes from the fashionable member of our team, style dog Sadie. In this exclusive interview, she tells us what her favorite new styles are for fall, gives us a glimpse of how she works her DIY magic on a vintage plaid shirt and some studs, and what bloggers she’s really into at the moment. She just got her own twitter too, so make sure to follow her @JC_PUP.
JC NYC: Hi Sadie! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to talk with us.
SADIE: My pleasure. I need to take a break from twitter anyway!
JC NYC: We love your vest! Who is it by?
SADIE: Me of course! I stopped by a thrift store on my morning walk and picked out the cutest plaid shirt. I had some left over studs at home from Search and Destroy, so I thought I’d whip up a new outfit for the busy work day.
JC NYC: It turned out great! What is a typical day in the life of a style dog?
SADIE: There’s no such thing as a typical day… but usually I wake up, read the blogs for at least an hour while I eat breakfast, go on a walk, tweet, take a nap, play with some toys, bark at UPS and FedEx delivery men and women, stare at some shoes and bags in the showroom, greet showroom guests, and tweet some more.
JC NYC: Sounds exhausting! Which bloggers are you into these days?
SADIE: There are sooo many great blogs out there but I really love STOP IT RIGHT NOW. She really gets my style.
JC NYC: We love that blog too! What trends do you see carrying over into fall?
SADIE: I still love Americana, but also I think British Punk is gonna be huge again!
JC NYC: Totally! Have you seen the new Spicy boot that’s coming out soon?
SADIE: Yes! I’m obsessed! Luckily since I’m always at the NYC showroom, I get an exclusive peek at all the new styles. This one’s definitely a favorite of mine!
JC NYC: What about the handbag collection? Do you have a favorite style?
SADIE: They’re all so major, but I think I’m leaning towards the KING mini backpack in black and white jaguar. It’s small enough for me, a great shape, and as a style dog, I love animal print! I can’t wait to get my very own from PIXIE MARKET.
