We listen to A LOT of music at the NYC showroom. And we’re the giving kind, so we thought why not share with you what we’re currently listening to? In honor of the Video Music Awards last weekend, all of our picks this week are VMA themed.

We’re proud to introduce our newest segment of the JC Blog: STYLE ICON. Every issue, we’ll dedicate an entire post to someone who inspires us through their personal style. Our debut issue features the amazing Barbadian Princess herself, Rihanna.

Page four of our UPTOWN GIRL look book opens with our gorgeous model Naomi in 70s Geisha chic taking in an afternoon in Central Park and sporting our What platforms in blue. Leave it to our friends at ENVI SHOES to take a shoe from our Uptown Girl Look Book and transform it to an amazing piece of Downtown rock and roll.

Last season was heavy on the prints. Whether it was Leopard or Cheetah, Jaguar or Zebra, Python or Croc, the list of skins and coats that popped up on the runways and streets of fashion capitals worldwide seems endless. While we’re still riding high on the print-wave (we’re feeling a Bedrock resurgence in the not-too-distant future), new creatures have begun to invade our closets in a major way!

One of our new favorites is the SLOANE BOOT in white leather with fringe. It’s as major as it’s namesake, and if boots had boyfriends we’re sure these babies could snag one as cool as Ferris Bueller. While we daydream about days off in downtown Chicago, you can get yourself a pair of these amazing boots over at LULU’S.

As we batten down the hatches to prepare for the weekend storm, we have to sneak in our latest edition of Pink Friday with guest blogger PINK KITTEN. This week she brings a more classic feel with the Cronkite and Gibson, but in true JC style even our classics take it to another level.

Cat’s outta the bag! We first laid our eyes on these bad boys back in June, and it was some feat to keep our mouths shut about how major they are.

We hope you all enjoyed our Las Vegas style post yesterday because we’re back with another round! We had so much fun scouting looks at the trade show, we can understand why people do that sort of thing for a full-time job.

The JC Team from around the world made the trek to scorching Las Vegas this week for the biggest trade-show of the season, Pool. For anyone who has ever been to one of our shows, you know there is never a dull moment.

Last spring Berkeley, CA’s CONVERT and JC teamed up to bring you our first ever vegan shoes. They were such a massive hit, that we spent the summer hard at work coming up with eco-friendly versions of some of our favorite styles.

The NYC team had an amaaaazing time invading LA for the past week, and the steady three-day downpour we’ve experienced since being back in our East Village showroom has left us longing for the perfect 75 and sunny weather we experienced all week in La La Land. We had so much fun with our West Coast friends that we already can’t wait to go back! In between trips to In-N-Out and blasting 90s-at-noon on KROQ on the 405, we were able to shoot our Resort 2012 Look Book, which should drop about a month from now.
