Rain or shine, we can always appreciate a California cutie with easy, effortless style. Fashion blogger Arizka from Devilinthe.com knows how to dress up and down for the west coastal weather, adding her pairs of JC heels and platforms whenever appropriate. Get to know this devilishly good dresser and Los Angeles style savant in our Q&A below.

JC: Who are your biggest style influences?
MKA, Erin Wasson, Leigh Lezark, Chloe Sevigny, Devon Aoki, Rachel Rutt, Pamela Love, Kelly Wearstler, and Boys
JC: In your own words, describe your personal style.
My style is fairly rudimentary, minimal, and the occasional grunge. I often stick to a lot basics and solids.

JC: What’s your favorite pair of JCs you own?
To date, my favorite pair are my Tardys. They’re especially handy for that extra couple of inches and by nature go with everything I wear seamlessly.
JC: If you could raid through anyone’s closet who’s would it be? What would you take?
Blogger Rumi Neely; everything. Literally. Including her cat.

JC: Best thing about being a blogger?
I think the best part of being a blogger is testing your limit; being able to step outside of your comfort zone, and getting the chance to find yourself in the process. Then there’s also being able to see a visual representation of your personal evolution and growth. In that sense, I love coming back to my first days of blogging and saying to myself, “What in the world was I thinking when I decided to wear that?” Haha.
JC: What’s the worst?
It’s a scary world and you’re practically throwing yourself out there, fully exposed and vulnerable, to anyone and everyone. But at the end of the day, I’m nothing more than grateful for everything that’s happened since I’ve started.

JC: If you could wear one only outfit for the rest of your life, what would it consist of?
Too easy- A pair of worn-out shredded denim cut-offs, an over sized lounge-y sweater, and a pair of black leather boots.
JC: It’s a bit of a loaded question but for you, New York or LA?
By heart, I’m a California girl. I’ve grown up in LA all my life so it’s something by nature I have well adapted from. Aside from the smog, traffic, and prolonged heat waves, LA’s diversity and culture stands up to par with that of NY. Now, I’ve never actually been to New York but I would move there in a heartbeat if the opportunity came. In a perfect realm, I would be living coast to coast sharing the best of both cities.

JC: Favorite designers or brands at the moment?
I’m pretty much fair game as of late. I’ve seen way to much goodness to selectively pull out some favorites. A couple highlights: CDG, Band of Outsiders, The Row, A Wang, Chloe, Derek Lam, Etro, Marni, Jil Sander, Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Tallulah. I really love them all equally. It’s impossible to pinpoint a favorite. Each designer holds a different aesthetic and a different appreciation, but still the same love and admiration for fashion.
