2013 is starting off swimmingly, and mostly because we’ve decided to take the dive and embrace the shine. Seemingly over night, our wardrobe has doubled with the amount of metallics and holograms that we’re rocking these days, and rightfully so. We all deserve clothes that fittingly represent our inner beings: shiny, bright and seductive. See this trend as simply taking back what’s ours.

Shine and be seen!

Metallic patent leather or dusty shimmers are our favorites. Colorblocking these pieces with dark solids is the way to go, pairing with a black long-sleeve or crop top can be quite beautiful. Or if you’re feeling a tad bit more reflective, take it home with a head-to-toe disco ball look, which we don’t necessarily object to either! Take out those robo-chic chrome jeans for a night dancing, or maybe break in that electric blue or holographic skirt. Admittedly, we’re simple creatures whose eyes light up with anything that sparkles. This trend is sure to turn them heads through the night. Mission accomplished.
