In the Souheast region of Spain–many wonders can be found. The warm ocean waters, delicious seafood based cuisins and beautiful Spanish people populate the Southern cities and villages. A continued favorite by both American and European tourists, this region, nestled below Valencia on the coastline, is also rich in design, and more specifically shoe design and production.

Our Jeffrey Campbell office and partners, FRP AGENGIES, are located in Elche, a small beach community just outside of Alicante, the home to Spain’s majority of shoe production.  Old family owned factories and showrooms line the streets of the city–in the shoe district-providing branded collections to Europe, private label runs for many national chains and is also home to many shoes that sell in the United States. The production in spain is based on the time honored tradition of quality, passion and beautiful materials.

When Jeffrey Campbell debuted, 9 years ago, a common interest in unique styling, family based operations, and beautiful shoes brought together owners Francisco Pomares and Jeffrey Campbell. Years later, the two have joined their staffs and continue to work together every step of the way. The Spanish office handles all Jeffrey Campell international, direct and first cost business–while also aiding in the sourcing, design and contol of our Spainish produced shoes. They are also, as any good Spaniard is, responsible for cured meats, amazing wines, late dinners and long and loyal friendships.

Francisco and his staff travel continually–bringing to the JC collection the top elements of the European market, as well as opportunities for the brand in rare and new markets world over. Jose and Samuel contribute hours and hours to Jeffrey Campbell working frequently via email and face-to-face with all of the US staff at shows, events, and concept meetings. While the men travel and aide us in NY and LA Maricarmen maintains control at the busy FRP headquarters. The office runs smoothly under her control as she delivers perfection every step of the way. It is this relationship and continued communication which continues to keep the Jeffrey Campbell brand fresh, new, updated and clean. The entire FRP staff works diligently to keep Jeffrey Campbell pumping–all over the world. The entire office, fluent in Spanish and English (as well as other European langues) bring the collection to life and to the doors of our clients world over. Many of the shoes produced in these factories have gone on to become best sellers of the Jeffrey Campbell collection–and the mens collection–FIRST by Jeffrey Campbell was composed 100% in Spain for its debut in 2008. The line sold at at retail in less than two weeks.
