For the fashion set of Japan there are many choices when it comes to shopping and coveting items in the SHIBUYA section of TOKYO. The “must see” neighborhood of TOKYO has become an international playground for the style elite when in Japan. Japanese celebs and socialites shop and dine on the crowded streets–as the busy walkways bustle and transform into a fashion catwalk—filled with the best looks in street culture.
Out of all the shops in Shibuya one store stands alone as a mega-power in all things cool. FREE’S SHOP has established itself as the powerhouse of Japan shopping
when it comes to the “LA Look of style and street cred.” They describe their style as: “FREE’S SHOP is the shop that keeps proposing a new creation world wide, base on the concept of creative and culture.”
The buying team from FREE’S fill their stores with their own private label lines as well as a smattering of goods from a myriad of fashion houses such as: D&G, Victor&Rolf, Jovovich-Hawk, Alexander Wang, D.V.F., see by CHLOE as well as small label favorites Hyde, Clu, Opening Ceremony, Tsubi and Siwy. The list of stockists goes on-and-on. Their obvious genius lies in the mix of style and price-point offerings both at FREE’S and at PLUSH and LUSH, their second concept store which revolves heavily around accessories produced by FREE’S brand and other vendors with a heavy influence and eye towards the “modern LA look.”
Jeffrey Campbell has been in the mix for many years and considers themselves lucky each season as the buyers always pick from our fastest designs–giving an international voice to the small brand that is JC. We were also quite honored to be part of their quarterly magazine “GLOBAL FOLKLORE REMIX” which highlights their offerings from fall/winter 08/09.
All of their goods can be seen and purchased online–but the entire grandeur of the concept and brand cannot be fully realized until you set foot through the doors of this amazing shop. We are greatly honored to be included in the mix!!
