Like many of you out there, our closet is half new, half vintage and we don’t know what we’d do without some of our favorite one-of-a-kind vintage and thrifted finds. Sometimes a vintage piece can really make an outfit, and since no one else has it, you’re guaranteed instant uniqueness while strutting about town. LES VINTAGE, named after the Lower East Side neighborhood of New York, is now online with some amaaaazing pieces at extremely affordable prices. What’s more is that they were kind enough to feature our very own Lita platform in ALL of their shots. We had so much fun with our West Coast friends that we already can’t wait to go back! In between trips to In-N-Out and blasting 90s-at-noon on KROQ on the 405, we were able to shoot our Resort 2012 Look Book, which should drop about a month from now. In the meantime, check out some of the pics we snapped including an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes of our shoot in Watts and Downtown LA. Trust us, this one is going to be EPIC. West-coast represent!

“When I first unpacked this crazy mustard colored high heel platform bootie, back in early 2010 I thought, “This is SO 70’s!”  I named the crazy ankle boot LITA, after Lita Ford from the ultimate 70’s “girl band”, The Runaways.  I never imagined back then that LITA would have the glamorous life that she has lead since first hitting the shelves in July 2010!  I personally have a pair of the LITA in brown distressed leather, but my ultimate favorite pair is the multi glitter, never have I seen a shoe so perfect, than the LITA in multi glitter…”

Other than having an amazing JC shoe selection, they are also always busy  putting out exciting and creative ad campaigns. For fall 2011 the SS NY team rented a studio in Soho and had an open casting for shoe loving models living in the tri state area.  They turned the look book shoot  in to a contest/behind the scenes reality show style elimination round. Narrowing it down from 150 to 8, the team managed to cast, style, prep, and shoot the look book all in one day. We’re amazed, inspired, and extremely excited for fall. Amazing job!
