It was only a matter of time before our JC Girls took their creativity to the next level like this. We’re talking about the muy, muy major new tumblr CUSTOM-LITAS of course. We’re always coming out with new colors, fabrics and patterns on our #1 style, but we’re not quite sure how we’re going to keep up with this! We love it! A Nicki Minaj Lita? A unicorn-in-the-clouds Lita? Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. Sadly they aren’t real, but maybe one day we’ll be able to make one or two of these! This weekend I attended the Teen Vogue Fashion University as well as the College Music Jam, better known as “CMJ”, both in New York City. If you’re unfamiliar of what Teen Vogue Fashion University, its basically a swarm of fashion-obsessed teenagers (no teenie boppers—although they’re my favorite) gathering together to take notes on the industry featuring some of the biggest in the business with words of wisdom flowing out of the people like: the editors of Teen Vogue, Alexander Wang, Betsey Johnson, Michael Kors, supa famous bloggers, and many, many more. I thought it was all quite rad if I must say so myself… lets just say my blank notebook turned into a scribbled novel.

Ready for an exclusive look at some brand new styles from both womens AND mens as well as some of our recent favorite handbags brought to you by yours truly, the JC NYC staff? Well ready or not, here we are. Don’t get too used to seeing our mugs on the blog, but we thought it would be fun to do an impromptu staff look book featuring styles from all three of our lines: JC, Ex-Crushes and The Damned. Okay, by now you get it: we’re obsessed with our interns. They’re such hard workers, we don’t know how they also find time to stay so fierce, but while they’re at it, we might as well let them take over our blog, right? That’s where our new weekly segment Sophia Says comes into play. For one post a week, we’re letting our intern Sophia Callahan have free reign over the blog. Since she’s muy major, we can already promise her posts will be the same (but we somehow have a feeling she could make reading the phone-book super cute). Check out our first installment of Sophia Says where she takes us on a trip to Daphne Guinness’ couture closet and the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise. We just can’t tell you how much we love our interns. We know we’ve said it all before, but ours are the best! Things get kind of crazy around here, and our interns are always there to make sure we stay organized and focused, and we wouldn’t be anywhere without them! Meet Sophia, our newest intern, who is giving all future interns an insane run for their money.

We can’t believe it’s already the end of September! It’s finally starting to feel like fall in NYC.
