PINK FRIDAY: FAREWELL EDITION

September 30 2011

We can’t believe it’s already the end of September! It’s finally starting to feel like fall in NYC. Sadly, we have to say good-bye to our Japanese home girl ASAMI aka PINK KITTEN, as we pass the torch to a new guest blogger we’ll introduce to you all in October. We thought it would be fun to do one last Pink Friday post, where Asami gives you a closer look into her favorite styles for fall, and her extensive closet. And don’t worry, this isn’t good-bye forever, Asami will definitely be back for the occasional guest blog, and you can always catch up with her on her own blog HERE. Thanks again, Pink Kitten, it was a pleasure having you!

These are all I got for this fall. Fall is always my favorite season of the year because I love boots better than anything else. I’m currently obsessed with tartan print, red leather/suede, velvet, platform boots and creeper shoes. Jeffrey Campbell always does meet my needs, and that’s why I’ve been crazy about his shoes for four years. The latest lookbooks “UPTOWN GIRL” and “DOWNTOWN GIRL” are definitely the best ones I’ve ever seen. There are a bunch of shoes I’m dying for, I especially want the Hayden, the Arizona, the Yuma,  the Autry, the Love-Hope, the Cuffed and the Giddy Up! I hope I can add them all to my collection.

“I’m really into the black Stinger! All the details are perfect! I can just see myself wearing them everywhere. I need them in my life! I also want the red feather Lita and the red Work It badly. I’d like to add the red feather ones to my Lita collection.”

JC TAKES OVER FASHION WEEK IN SPAIN

September 23 2011

This time of year, we can’t even count how many runway shows we look at. There’s always something new and exciting to inspire us. While our focus is mostly fixated on the big four, Paris, New York, Milan and London, we love seeing shows from other smaller fashion weeks like New Zealand, Berlin, and Scandinavia. This year we gotta give it up to Spanish designer Daniel Rabaneda, who closed Madrid fashion week with an amazing collection which felt like a casual Friday in Ancient Greece – and that’s a good thing! Rabaneda also used our Lita and men’s SF Huarache, in custom white for his show!

But Daniel Rabaneda wasn’t the only one sending JC’s down the runway this season in Spain. The latest collection from Andres Sarda, with hints of ancient Rome and Egypt, also featured Jeffrey Campbell shoes to complete the look. Check out video of the collection below.

PINK FRIDAY: SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2011

September 16 2011

We were a little bummed out when we walked outside last night and it legit felt like fall. So this morning when we checked our inbox, we were immediately warmed up by PINK KITTEN aka ASAMI’S picks of the week. It’s just so major that she picked the BUNDY in both yellow and green, as we have been obsessing over it since we first saw the sample months and months ago. Tartan is one of our favorite trends for late fall/holiday, so we’re also stoked that Asami feels the same in picking LANA FAB IN RED TARTAN. Check out the rest of her picks below! You can also follow her full-time on twitter @QOOPOCO.

“I’ve been waiting for the Bundy and the Giddy Stud to come in for two months. I’m gonna order the Bundy this month. I wish I could get all colors! I hope I can get my hands on the Giddy Stud too! I love those brass studs and the way they’ve aged the leather. I also want the fuchsia/black jaguar Warrant badly! So cute! It looks like my dream shoe!”

BREAKFAST AT JEFFREY’S

September 13 2011

Our friends from JC POLAND held an event last Saturday called “Breakfast with JC” – a special pop-up shop – where we hear many pairs of Litas found homes and cookies were served! By the looks of things it was a blast! We might have to steal this idea for the states some day, except knowing us we’d probably put our pop-up shop in a deli storefront in Queens. Check out a glimpse of the beautifully curated event, and the equally stylish attendees below. Also make sure to friend our Polish buddies on FaceBook HERE! Miłego dnia!
