Looking ahead to 2012 is very exciting for a number of reasons. We’ve got a lot of surprises in store for you in the new year, that will begin to unfold in the coming weeks. We can’t believe the year is merely days away from being over. We’re so excited to see what 2012 brings us, but we need to take a moment to look back at what amazing year 2011 has been. From music to fashion, it’s been a game-changing year. We even threw in some of our favorite JC landmark moments too!

There were two very fashionable Manson’s in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Marilyn: shock/glam rock extraordinaire, and Shirley: lead singer of fashion pop output Garbage. While their music may have been vastly different, they both shared a love for fur, eyeliner and plenty of fashion-goth moments. Both artists have been rather quiet in recent years, but we would gladly welcome them back with open arms to the fashion scene, as both of their personal styles were extremely influential and eye-catching in the late 90s. Which Manson do you think had the better style?

It was only a matter of time before our JC Girls took their creativity to the next level like this. We’re talking about the muy, muy major new tumblr CUSTOM-LITAS of course. We’re always coming out with new colors, fabrics and patterns on our #1 style, but we’re not quite sure how we’re going to keep up with this! We love it! A Nicki Minaj Lita? A unicorn-in-the-clouds Lita? Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes. Sadly they aren’t real, but maybe one day we’ll be able to make one or two of these! Here at JC, we always make it a point to look at every runway show from New York, London, Milan and Paris every season. After a while you start noticing the same models across the board walking the catwalk. Then you start seeing your favorites everywhere in magazines, and on billboards, and you wonder how it took you so long to notice someone so fierce. That’s how we feel about our obsession with Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld. Whether she’s working the runway at Rick Owens, shooting with Tom Ford for Vogue Paris, or giving face for Versace x H&M, this girl is gorgeous as well as versatile! Check out some of our favorite Daphne Groeneveld moments below, and watch out for her – we have a feeling she’s going to be everywhere soon! Oh yeah, this girl is only 16!

We just can’t tell you how much we love our interns. We know we’ve said it all before, but ours are the best! Things get kind of crazy around here, and our interns are always there to make sure we stay organized and focused, and we wouldn’t be anywhere without them! Meet Sophia, our newest intern, who is giving all future interns an insane run for their money.
