Every once in a while, you see someone rocking a 90s trend that hasn’t come back yet and a whole new world of throwback revealed. After a long weekend of hanging in McCarren park and searching the blogosphere, we here at JC NYC beleive we have stumbled upon what will be the newest era for the girls to obsess over. The verdict: MILLENIUM IS BACK! More specifically, y2k era accessories. Border lining on Backstreet Boy chic (yes we just went there), this trend is unlike any 90s revival we have seen in the past 5 years. Minimal metallic touches, cheesy swirly lines, and a whole lot of shimmer, 1999 XTINA would be proud! Get your Y2k on errybody!

Colonial sea punk? New wave Marie Antoinette? Rococo Revival? All of the above came to life as Karl Lagerfeld rocked Versailles with his CHANEL Resort 2013 presentation. Some of the most inspiring eras of fashion came together with current tumblr trends to get the resort season started with a bang. Creepers? Check. Cotton candy hair? Check. Ruffles, riding coats, and gold plating? But of course. And we really hate to brag here, but we totally called the Colonial Times trend back in January, just ask our friends at TRUMAN CURTIS in Williamsburg, VA! Here at JC we are currently obsessed with Nepalese fashion model Varsha Thapa. She’s not only stunning but smart and sweet too! Prabal Gurung used his Facebook account to say so himself, now that’s when you know you’ve made it! Varsha is signed to prestigious modeling agency, Wilhelmina Models making her the first and only Nepali model to be represented by a major agency in America. She made her runway debut in Spring/Summer 2012 during New York Fashion Week walking in 10 shows including Prabal Gurung, Phillip Lim and Many Coon. Varsha’s dream is to walk for Roberto Cavalli, be the face of Calvin Klein and to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel. If you ask us, all of these are attainable for this beauty. Her long dark hair, brown skin and exotic features have caught the attention of many and have allowed her to begin her domination of the fashion industry.
